Mary grew up in anenvironment that suggested she needed to question the way society was universe run.Marys mother died ten days after giving birth to her, an act thatMarys father was never quick to exculpate in fact he blamed Mary forhis wifes death and this often forced Mary to attempt to take herplace. This was often in the form of sitting on literary discussionsand meeting her fathers estranged guests. At the age of 17 Mary wouldoften write at her mothers grave side at St Pancras Churchyard inLondon where the couple had married. Mary includes her fascinationwith death into Frankenstein. He is aman with abnormal strength he has a face full of scars and togethergives people a sense of fear when they see him. The people are scaredof him and declare him as being some sort evil, so immediately see himas being a threat to them and instinctively attack him. This makes thereaders feel sorry for the creature and keeps the reader delay forwhat he will do when all mankind wants to kill him. Mary uses imageryand nature to reflect this. She uses the weather to show how he isfeeling, like when he first runs away and it is raining heavily.
